38 weeks today [Dec. 28th, 2006|04:33 pm]

[mood |blankblank]

no baby yet. I had my doc appt yesterday and am still only dilated to 1 cm. although baby is now fully engaged in the pelvis and my cervix is getting softer and thinner.

My BP was 140/100. I have never had a high blood pressure in my life. So he had me goto the OB unit to get checked out. I had a nonstress test, which was fine.. she is very reactive, which is a good thing. My labs were all good, so I don't have PIH or anything, so that's a plus. I have a UTI. Lovely, hey? it's always something. So, I started keflex yesterday. and he gave me some ambien to help me sleep, cuz I havent slept in days...

Today I woke up with a killer headache so I decided to check my BP at home. It was 154/90. so I had to go back into the hospital. They did all the same stuff they did yesterday, labs, nonstress test, etc. Then sent me home.

I'm so tired. Even though I took an ambien last night and actually slept all night, I just feel so emotionally and physically exhausted. The baby room is done, bags are packed, now it's just the waiting game. Patience has never been a virtue of mine.

I don't even have the energy to be on this computer. So I'm out. I mainly just wrote this cuz it's my pregnancy journal and I want to be able to look back on my pregnancy for reference. I'll let ya'll know when she comes.

Maybe you are tired because your body is having to adjust to taking the Ambien. I know being patient is hard right so just right to find things that take your mind off the little princess.

{{HUGS}}

The BP is high, but not too bad. At least if it stays high and they induce she is so close to full term. I hope the Keflex kicks the UTI.

It's a shame there were no more entries after this one! I have been reading the entries over for reference. I was left in suspense and so eager to find out when you ended up going into labor, and how everything went during the labor process. LOL.
